Inventorying Shredded Documents
At Valley Green Shredding, our mission is to provide secure, compliant, and efficient document destruction services. We understand that some customers may request an inventory of items that have been shredded. However, due to the nature of our process and industry standards, we do not inventory individual documents, verify their inclusion for shredding, or confirm specific items—regardless of any obvious titling or identification.
Why We Do Not Inventory Shredded Items
Security & Confidentiality – Our i-SIGMA NAID AAA Certified process ensures that all materials are handled and destroyed in a manner that prioritizes privacy and compliance. Our technicians never review, read, or catalog any content.
Efficiency & Compliance – Our service is designed for bulk shredding in a secure, time-sensitive manner, making it impractical to inspect or inventory documents before destruction.
Industry Standards – Document destruction services, including those following state and federal regulations, do not require or provide individual document inventories.
Certificate of Destruction – Upon completion of each shredding service, we provide a Certificate of Destruction. This official document serves as proof that all materials have been securely destroyed in compliance with industry regulations.
How We Track Your Materials
While we do not inventory specific documents, we maintain tracking records for containers and materials received for destruction. Our tracking includes:
Number and type of security containers serviced
Date, time, and location of service
Certificate of Destruction confirming completion of shredding
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for maintaining their own internal records regarding the documents they submit for shredding. We recommend retaining a list of disposed items before placing them in our secure shredding containers.
