Recycling is not the same as secure shredding. Recycling and waste hauling companies do not follow strict security protocols, nor do they use vetted staff, specialized equipment, or secure facilities to handle sensitive documents. When in doubt, always place paper documents—big or small—into securely locked shredding containers rather than general recycling bins. This ensures confidentiality, compliance, and protection against unauthorized access.

Valley Green Shredding has been a dedicated service provider to the Massachusetts Trial Courts since 2016, initially as a subcontractor for a Massachusetts-based shredding company that held the state contract at the time. Our role was to support their service operations for Western Massachusetts court offices, ensuring secure and efficient document destruction.
Following the acquisition of this company by an international shredding corporation, the new provider took over the court offices we had supported. However, in a short period, it became evident that this large corporation either lacked the ability or the willingness to meet the granular service needs of the courts. Recognizing our history of impeccable communication, responsiveness, and reliability, court administrators sought our return to service.
In early 2018, Valley Green Shredding was awarded a state contract freeing us to work directly with the Massachusetts Trial Courts, beginning an independent partnership that rapidly expanded from serving Western Massachusetts to covering all court locations across the Commonwealth. Today, we support over 300 court offices, courthouses, and satellite locations, ensuring secure document destruction services that align with the courts' operational and security needs.
A major advancement in our service was the implementation of secure consoles in most court offices—a pilot initiative that eliminated the outdated practice of supplying locations with dozens of security carts. Previously, many court locations struggled with limited space and delays in service response. Instead of requiring staff to pack, store, and manage shredding materials themselves, our solution allows for direct, on-site destruction, streamlining the process and improving overall security.
Unlike the previous provider, which assigned multiple managers and a rotating crew of over a dozen drivers across the state, we have successfully managed the Massachusetts Trial Courts account with a team of just three managers and four dedicated shredding technicians. Our hands-on approach ensures a personalized, professional, and accredited service, reinforcing our commitment to security and efficiency.
We are proud and humbled to serve the Massachusetts Trial Courts, continuing our mission to provide NAID AAA Certified, professional, and responsive shredding services that meet the highest standards of security and reliability.

Standard Letter Boxes: A standard pallet can typically hold up to 36 boxes when stacked 4 boxes high.
Legal File Boxes: A standard pallet can generally accommodate up to 16 boxes when stacked 4 boxes high.
These guidelines are based on standard pallet dimensions (48" x 40") and common box sizes. Actual capacity may vary depending on box dimensions, weight, and stacking stability. If you have specific requirements or need assistance with pallet loading, please contact us for further guidance.
