Job Summary
As a Route Service Representative – Secure Shredding, you’ll be the trusted face of our company. You’ll provide top-tier customer service by securely shredding confidential documents on-site, operating a 26-ft box truck, and managing your work using a tablet device. This role is all about ensuring safety, security, and customer satisfaction every day.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Excellence:
Engage directly with clients to ensure their information security needs are exceeded.
Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Build lasting relationships by delivering a consistently positive customer experience.
Secure Shredding Operations:
Safely shred documents on-site in strict accordance with security protocols.
Install, repair, and maintain shredding containers as needed.
Vehicle & Equipment Management:
Operate and maneuver a 26-ft box truck safely, adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Perform daily safety checks and routine maintenance on your vehicle and equipment.
Keep the truck and equipment clean, organized, and professional in appearance.
Technology & Reporting:
Use a tablet device to manage service calls, report progress, and complete digital paperwork.
Communicate regularly with the office regarding scheduling updates and service issues.
Brand Representation:
Act as a brand ambassador for Valley Green Shredding by maintaining a professional image.
Identify additional service opportunities and share customer feedback with the team.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years’ commercial driving experience.
Valid Non-CDL, Class D license with recent experience driving a 26-ft box truck (within the past 5 years).
Prior customer service experience with a passion for security and confidentiality.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically.
Familiarity with local routes and city environments.
Excellent to master time management skills with high attention to detail.
Clear understanding of driving safety standards and regulations.
Commitment to a tobacco-free environment (including no chewing tobacco or vaping).
